I like to meet briefly after the general meeting on March 13th. I like to know what the current radio capability is? What tactical and command frequencies are available to use during a SAR?  What do we need to impove the radio communication capability of the team? What goals and objectives would you like to acheive for 2012?

		<description>Notice:  This is notice that officer nominations are open.  Nominations will close at the next meeting per Article 4 of the  By-Laws:  Article 4 States:

Article 4.  Elections, Nominations, Vacancies, and Terms 
Section 1.   Election Procedures
The MCSAR Board of Directors will be elected as set forth in the By-Laws. It is the purpose of this section to provide nomination and election procedures for this election.

Section 2. Notices
The Secretary shall be responsible for sending notice to the Members not less than ten (10) days prior to the election stating the Members who have been nominated for the Board.

Section 3.  Nominations: 
Nominations for offices may be made from the floor or in writing to the Captain at least 30 (thirty) days prior to the election. Nominations will open at the January meeting. 

Section 4.  Elections:
Elections for officers: Refer to Section 8 of this Article. 

Section 5.  Term of Office: 
The term of all offices shall be a maximum of one (1) year, meaning, no officer shall hold the same office for more than 1 (one) year.  Members may be run for a previously held office after a 1 (one) year period. New officers shall be elected annually.  If there are no nominations from the floor for any offices, the positions will be filled alphabetically off the current roster until a qualified candidate is selected.

Section 6.  Vacancies:
Vacancies are to be filled by election of members for the un-expired term except for a vacancy in the office of Captain. The Captain’s vacancy shall be filled by the Captain-Elect. 


Section 7.  At Large Directors:
Four (4) MCSAR members in good standing as defined in the MCSAR by-laws shall be elected as “At Large” Board Member positions.

Section 8.  Board of Directors Election Procedures  (&quot;Governing Board&quot;)
The MCSAR Board will be elected as set forth in the By-Laws. It is the purpose of this section to provide nomination and election procedures for this election.
		(a) 	At least thirty (30) days prior to the election, the Captain will open nominations from the floor and 			when completed, will close the nominations.
		(b) 	The Secretary shall be responsible for sending notice to the Members not less than ten (10) 			days prior to the election stating the Members who have been nominated for the Board.
		(c) 	Election for the Board shall be by closed ballot and the Directors shall be elected by the affirmative 		vote of the majority of the Members represented and voting at a duly held meeting at which 	a quorum is present.                              majority of all voting-eligible members, whether present or not. Therefore, a 2/3 (two-thirds)
                             majority of voting-eligible members present which does not constitute a 2/3 (two-thirds) majority of
                             the entire general voting membership shall not qualify as a valid vote.
			Votes shall be tallied by an election committee appointed by the Captain.</description>
